PRIVATE ART COACHING

Online studio Arts

Discover a Creative Practice That Fits Into Your Life

Private Online Art Coaching is not a lesson plan or a fixed curriculum — it’s a personalized, ongoing art mentorship shaped around

your growth, your schedule, and the

creative goals that matter most to you.

Is this you?
You Don't Need More Tutorials. You Need a Guide.

Maybe you've collected art books, saved countless videos, even started a few courses — and still feel like something's missing.
That's because information isn't the same as mentorship.

This art coaching is for you if:

  • You're self-taught and sense there are gaps in your art foundation you know are missing

  • You've always wanted to make art a real part of your life, but structure and accountability have been hard to find on your own

  • You've reached a plateau and want experienced eyes on your work — someone who sees what you can't yet see

  • You crave honest, caring feedback rather than polite compliments or silence

  • Your schedule is full, and you need a practice that fits into your life instead of demanding you bend to it

If you nodded at even one of these, you're in the right place.

Private Art Coaching

What exactly is art coaching?

Private Online Art Coaching isn't a course to complete or a curriculum to follow. It's a dedicated creative partnership — thoughtful, unhurried, and shaped entirely around you: your pace, your life, and the goals that matter most to you.

Whether you're just beginning to explore your creativity or you've been making art for years and want to deepen your craft, each session meets you exactly where you are — with the guidance, encouragement, and honest insight to take you further.

WHAT PRIVATE COACHING INCLUDES:

• One-on-one private online sessions which are 60 minutes each

• Personalized creative direction by artist/art educator with 36+ years of experience teaching

• Customized projects and guided exercises

• Technique instruction across drawing, painting & mixed media

• Flexible scheduling around your life

• Optional between-session prompts

• Gentle accountability

• Personal feedback, encouragement,

and support

This is a calm, supportive space to grow creatively — without comparison, pressure,

or expectations.

HOW IT WORKS

Ongoing one-on-one creative mentorship throughout the year

Simple, Personal, and Built Around You

1. We Begin With a Conversation Before anything else, we talk. About where you are in your artistic life, what you long to create, and what's been standing in your way. This becomes the foundation of your personal path forward.

2. Your Sessions, Your Rhythm We meet privately online, at a cadence that suits your life — weekly, biweekly, or monthly. Each session blends focused instruction, thoughtful critique, and clear direction for the time between our meetings.

3. Guidance Between Sessions Your growth doesn't pause when the call ends. You'll have personalized practice tailored to your goals, so every hour you spend in your studio moves you forward with purpose.

4. Watch Yourself Grow Over weeks and months, you'll see it —

in your work, in your confidence, and in the quiet certainty that you are, in fact, an artist.

MEET THE FOUNDER & CEO

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR-

Learn from an experienced educator, professional artist, and creative mentor.

For more than 36 years, Eileen Baumeister McIntyre has helped artists develop their skills, discover their creative voice, and grow with greater confidence and purpose.

Eileen is a New York State Certified Art Teacher with a Master’s Degree in Art Education, an experienced Adjunct Professor, professional fine artist, and founder of Online Studio Arts. Throughout her career, she has taught and mentored thousands of students—from complete beginners picking up a pencil for the first time to serious artists developing sophisticated bodies of work.

What sets Eileen apart is the combination of deep teaching experience, professional artistic practice, and highly individualized mentorship she brings to every session.

She understands that artistic growth isn't simply about learning another technique or creating a more polished piece. Often, the real challenge is knowing where to go next—how to move beyond perfectionism, uncertainty, creative blocks, or simply feeling stuck and begin making work that feels more personal, intentional, and distinctly your own.

Eileen is known for her calm, encouraging approach and her ability to see possibility in an artist's work—often before they can see it themselves. Rather than imposing a particular style or formula, she helps each artist uncover what is already emerging: the ideas worth pursuing, the strengths worth developing, and the creative directions that deserve deeper exploration.

Her coaching combines thoughtful conversation, honest feedback, artistic expertise, and practical direction. You may explore composition, materials, technique, subject matter, developing a series, strengthening an existing body of work, or simply finding your way back to a meaningful creative practice.

Through her private online art coaching, Eileen offers a boutique, high-touch mentorship experience for adults at every stage—from beginners returning to art after years away to experienced artists seeking greater clarity, direction, and professional-level feedback.

There is no one-size-fits-all curriculum.

Your artwork, your questions, your goals, and your creative life become the curriculum.

Each session is personal and intentional, designed around where you are now and where you would like your art to go next.

Eileen's philosophy is simple:

Artists don't always need another class. Sometimes they need an experienced artist and educator beside them—someone who can truly see their work, ask the right questions, and help them recognize what comes next.

That's what private art coaching is designed to provide.

“My role isn’t to tell you what kind of artist to be. It’s to help you see what’s already there—and give you the clarity, confidence, excitement and direction to take it further.”

— Eileen Baumeister McIntyre, Founder, Online Studio Arts

Who Is Private Art Coaching Right For?

You might be:

  • The beginner artist. Art coaching is perfect for beginner artists who feel excited to create but aren't sure where to start. With personalized guidance, you'll skip years of frustrating trial and error and build real skills from day one.

  • The returning artist. You were serious about art once—maybe decades ago—and life happened. You're ready to come back, but you don't want to start from zero. You want to start from here.

  • The plateaued artist. You've developed real skill, but the work has stopped growing. You can render, but you can't say why one piece matters more than another.

  • The prolific-but-scattered artist. You make constantly, but the work doesn't cohere. You want a voice, a series, a direction—not just output.

  • The crossroads artist. Retirement is near, the kids are grown, the career is winding down—and art is the thing you promised yourself. You want to do this right.

  • The quietly ambitious artist. You've wondered about exhibiting, selling, or calling yourself an artist without flinching. You want someone to tell you honestly what it would take.

What you are not: a student cramming for a deadline. There's no application due date here. Which means the work can finally be about what you want it to become.

If you're a high school student or parent looking for college art portfolio preparation, that's my Art Portfolio Prep program. This mentorship is designed for adults.

No experience is required — just curiosity and a desire to create.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is experience required?

Not at all. Private coaching is designed for complete beginners through advanced artists. Because every session is personalized, we begin exactly where you are and build confidence, skills, and creative ease at a pace that feels natural.

Is this a good gift?

Yes — it’s one of the most meaningful and personal gifts you can give. Many clients have purchased coaching for a partner, parent, or loved one who longed to reconnect with their creativity.

Gift options and beautifully designed certificates are available upon request.

Where does coaching take place?

All sessions are held online via private one-on-one video calls. This allows you to work from the comfort of your own home while still receiving personalized guidance, demonstrations, and feedback in real time.

How many clients do you accept?

I accept only a small number of private online coaching clients each year so that every session receives my full attention, energy, and creative guidance. This ensures a truly personalized experience. This allows me to be fully invested in your artistic journey and provide ongoing, thoughtful guidance.

How far in advance should I book?

The earlier the better. Coaching spaces—especially the 6- and 12-month programs—tend to fill in advance due to limited availability. Booking early ensures your ideal start date and guarantees a place on my calendar.

What if I’m already an artist—will this still help me?

Absolutely. Many adult artists join to expand their skills, build a cohesive series, or finally create a polished professional portfolio. The one on one structure helps you grow technically and conceptually through individual mentorship.

How do I get started?

Getting started is easy. Begin by submitting your inquiry or requesting a brief call.

From there, we’ll talk about your interests, your goals, and what you’re hoping to experience.

Once we determine the right coaching path for you, we’ll confirm availability and

choose a start date together.

Eileen is a truly great art teacher. Eileen takes the time to explain how to work with a medium, be it watercolors or charcoal in a way that really helps you to draw and create better. The art classes here are not a case of "sit down and express yourself" they are excellent constructive guidance where you actually see your own ability to draw and color with various mediums flourish before your eyes!! Highly recommend.
